Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems Sector seeks a Manager Test Engineering 2 to lead a flight test instrumentation operations section in Palmdale/Edwards. The role includes build-up, integration, checkout, and operations of a large-scale flight test instrumentation system, with 15+ direct reports and frequent leadership communications.

You will create schedules and spend plans, develop proposals, and present status to senior management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in STEM with 9 years' professional/military experience OR Master’s degree with 7 years' professional/military experience.
• 5 years of flight test experience or instrumentation/electrical fabrication.
• Prior management/leadership experience.
• Active DoD Secret level clearance.
• Ability to obtain and maintain PAR for business needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead a flight test instrumentation operations section within a classified portfolio.
• Oversee build-up, integration, checkout and operations of a large-scale flight test instrumentation system.
• Manage staff (15+ direct reports) and develop schedules, spend and staffing plans; prepare proposals.
• Prepare presentations/reports and present status to senior leadership.
• Up to 10% travel.
