Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Manager Test Engineering 2 for the Instrumentation team located in Palmdale, CA and Edwards AFB. The role leads a large flight test instrumentation operations group, manages schedules and budgets, and prepares reports for senior leadership.

The candidate will oversee staff, develop proposals for future work, and coordinate across shifts. A DoD Secret clearance and strong leadership are required for success in this critical program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in a STEM discipline with 9 years of professional/military experience or Master’s degree with 7 years of professional/military experience.
• 5 years of flight test experience or instrumentation/electrical fabrication.
• Prior management/leadership experience.
• Active DoD Secret clearance required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain PAR access.

Responsibilities

• Lead a flight test instrumentation operations section within the classified portfolio of Aeronautics Sector, including 15+ direct reports.
• Create and manage schedules, spend plans, staffing plans, and develop proposals for future work.
• Prepare presentations/reports and routinely present status to senior leadership.
• Support any Shift (4x10 M-TH, Tu-F) or 3x10 Fri-Sun, depending on business needs.
