Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Manager Test Engineering 2 to lead a flight test instrumentation team for the B-21 Raider program in Palmdale, CA and Edwards AFB. You will manage build-up, integration, checkout, and operation of large-scale instrumentation, including staff of 15+ and multi-year proposals.

The role requires a STEM degree with 7–9 years of experience, DoD Secret clearance, and ability to obtain PAR; travel up to 10% may be needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in a STEM discipline and 9 years of professional/military experience, or a Master’s degree with 7 years.
• 5 years of flight test experience or instrumentation/electrical fabrication.
• Prior management/leadership experience.
• Active DoD Secret clearance required.
• Ability to obtain Program Access (PAR) within a reasonable period.

Responsibilities

• Lead a flight test instrumentation operations section within the classified portfolio.
• Build-up, integration, checkout, and operation of large-scale instrumentation systems.
• Manage staff (15+ direct reports) and develop schedules, spend plans, and proposals.
• Prepare presentations/status reports for senior leadership; travel up to 10%.
