Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Greenville, TX is seeking a Specialist, Electrical Engineer (Instrumentation Engineer Aircraft Systems) to design and implement instrumentation systems for component tests, lab tests, and flight tests.

You will manage data acquisition from sensors, develop system architecture, assemble hardware, calibrate, and analyze results, with potential flight time on civilian or military aircraft.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or graduate degree with relevant instrumentation experience in aircraft tests.
• Flight Certification (Class III) required.
• Experience developing instrumentation systems for component tests, lab tests, and flight tests.

Responsibilities

• Develop system architecture, select components, program the system, and document configurations with drawings and reports.
• Assemble and calibrate the physical instrumentation system.
• Install, operate, retrieve data, and perform data reduction from tests.
• Operate instrumentation systems during tests, including flight onboard aircraft.
• Coordinate test activities with directors, engineers, pilots, and customers.
• Understand aircraft systems and data acquisition methods to meet test requirements.
