Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Greenville, TX is hiring a Specialist, Electrical Engineer to design and develop electrical systems for aircraft and ground stations. You will create wiring diagrams using CAD tools, integrate subsystems, and coordinate with Systems Engineering, Manufacturing, and Production to meet requirements while controlling costs.

You will lead and mentor a small team of 2–5 junior engineers, manage drawings status and budgets, and contribute to testing and integration activities

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 4+ years of relevant experience; graduate degree with 2+ years. In lieu of a degree, 10 years of related experience.
• Willingness to travel to flight lines and work in aircraft hangar environments.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).
• Defense aerospace experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create and review system wiring diagrams and control panels using CAD tools (Capital Harness, NX).
• Coordinate design activities with Systems Engineering, Manufacturing, and Production to meet requirements at minimum cost.
• Lead a small team of 2–5 electrical design engineers; provide status updates and budget estimates to platform leads.
• Train and mentor junior engineers during assigned projects.
• Support testing and integration of electrical subsystems on aircraft across platforms.
