Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Ground Test Engineer to lead planning and execution of ground test events at Edwards AFB, CA. The role collaborates with engineers to develop procedures, run test articles, and troubleshoot anomalies.

The selected candidate will manage test operations as an approved conductor, coordinating test worksheets, briefs, and a mixed team of engineers and technicians across ground test events and flight line activities.

Qualifications

• Must have strong written and verbal communication.
• Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance or higher.
• Willingness to work overtime and odd-hour shifts.
• Ability to obtain and maintain PAR access.
• Shifts include 4x10 or 3x10 schedules and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute ground test procedures and support active flight line testing.
• Conduct preflight and postflight power on checks.
• Provide first line engineering support for maintenance, repairs, and modifications.
• Provide supervision and direction to maintenance personnel for maintenance tasks.
• Analyze and interpret test data and provide engineering recommendations.
• Coordinate with support organizations for developmental test programs.
• Support post-test data processing and analysis to meet objectives.
