Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Principal / Senior Principal Flight Test Engineer to join our Test and Evaluation organization. This position will support one or more aircraft platforms within our Strike portfolio and be 100% on-site at Edwards AFB, CA.

The role involves developing and publishing integrated test plans and procedures, providing lab support for integration tests, and coordinating test activities with design and analysis teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM).
• 5 years of applicable experience with a BS degree or 3 years with an MS for Principal flight test engineer.
• 9 years of applicable experience with a BS degree or 7 years with an MS for Sr Principal flight test engineer.
• DoD Secret or Top Secret clearance required and ability to obtain Special Program Access.

Responsibilities

• Develop and publish Integrated Test Plans, detailed test plans, test schedules and test procedures.
• Provide laboratory support for integration testing and host test planning working groups.
• Interface with design and analysis teams to define test configuration and data requirements.
• Review test requirements for completeness and perform system-level evaluations.
• Support test readiness reviews, post-test briefings, and real-time mission control decisions.
• Conduct pre/post-test data analyses and maintain testing metrics.
