Job summary

Yoh is seeking a Flight Test Engineer - ECS & Thermal Systems for our Aerospace & Defense client in Newton, KS. This onsite, 6-month contract role focuses on environmental control and thermal management systems used in flight-test environments.

As an experienced engineer, you will support ground and flight-test activities, analyze data, generate reports, and coordinate with flight-test teams. Travel to Frisco, TX may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Experience with engineering test data reduction, analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite engineering support for flight-test activities involving ECS, cooling and thermal systems.
• Develop understanding of aircraft systems, instrumentation, and test configurations.
• Build and review real-time test-data displays for monitoring during ground and flight operations.
• Staff the flight-test console and monitor temperatures, cooling, airflow and other risk areas.
• Coordinate with design engineers and flight-test personnel to evaluate system behavior.
• Prepare technical documentation and test reports based on data.
• Assist with test preparation and planning as needed.
