Job summary

Yoh Services LLC has a contract opportunity for a Flight Test Engineer – ECS & Thermal Systems in Newton, KS (Onsite). The role focuses on hands-on flight-test environments supporting environmental control and aircraft thermal management systems.

The engineer will work onsite, support test activities, analyze data, and prepare technical documentation. Requires 5+ years of experience, a bachelor’s degree, and strong communication skills. Travel to Frisco, TX may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Experience with data reduction, analysis, and reporting of test data.
• Proficiency with MATLAB, Python, Excel or similar tools.
• Ability to interpret schematics, procedures, instrumentation outputs, and test data.
• Strong written and verbal communication in a fast-paced onsite testing environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite engineering support for flight-test activities involving ECS, cooling, and thermal systems.
• Develop understanding of aircraft systems, instrumentation, and test configurations.
• Build and review real-time data displays to monitor performance during ground and flight operations.
• Staff flight-test console and monitor temperatures, cooling, airflow, and other risk areas.
• Coordinate with design engineers and testers to evaluate system behavior and concerns during testing.
• Communicate observations to Test Conductors and engineers during flight operations.
• Process and review flight-test data to assess performance and support conclusions.
• Prepare technical documentation and test reports based on collected data.
• Provide limited assistance with test preparation and planning as needed.
