Job summary

Gulfstream Savannah (GAC) seeks a Flight Test - Avionics/Electrical Technician Lead for 2nd shift to plan, coordinate, and execute avionics and electrical tasks on aircraft. You will supervise technicians, ensure schedule compliance, and maintain test equipment and records.

The role requires extensive avionics/electrical experience on large airframes, leadership abilities, and strong adherence to procedures and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Eight (8) years experience in aircraft avionics/electrical career field; or two (2) years schooling in aviation electronics and six (6) years related experience.
• Two (2) years experience on large/mid-size aircraft.
• A&P license or Repairman Certificate preferred.
• Other FCC license preferred.
• Other NCATT Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans, schedules, and completes tasks on work authorizations to meet the master schedule; provides daily status reports.
• Coordinates Electrical and Avionics activities to meet aircraft schedules and deadlines; reviews forms and records for compliance.
• Supervises and instructs electrical technicians with troubleshooting guidance and performance appraisals.
• Reviews daily job charging for all personnel to ensure input accuracy.
• Maintains preventive maintenance program on test equipment and tools.
• Keeps knowledge current on ASC, Customer Bulletins, inspection schedule requirements, vendor information, and related procedures.
• Supervises a safety program in hangar area including equipment operation and housekeeping.
• Maintains required logs and records.
• Enforces FOD, tool control, 5-S and safety regulations.
• Adapts to sudden schedule changes.
• Coordinates with other disciplines on projects.
• Establishes environment of innovation and Lean thinking.
• May include flight tests for aircraft certification and final phase testing.
