Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
5 years experience in an avionics/electrical career field.
2 years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics may offset two years of experience.
A&P license, FCC license or NCATT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Demonstrates superior technical skills in avionics and aircraft systems testing and troubleshooting.
Teaches installation and functional testing of electrical/avionics components per specs.
Ensures quality and efficiency of installations; troubleshoots and repairs.
Repairs or replaces defective components and wiring to meet conformity.
Oversees engineering changes and modifications as required.
Sets up and operates test equipment; conducts functional tests.
Maintains daily logs and paperwork; documents work on aircraft.
Pre-inspects work prior to inspection to reduce rework.
Enforces FOD, tool control, 5-S and safety regulations.
Adapts to schedule changes; coordinates with other disciplines.
