Job summary

Relative Dynamics, a NASA safety and mission assurance services contractor, seeks an Electrical Engineer specializing in Flight Termination Systems to join the Range Safety Operations Division at Wallops Flight Facility, VA. This on-site role supports safety-critical launch vehicle hardware and procedures.

Ideal candidates hold a degree in EE/AE with 5+ years in aerospace/defense electronics, including FTS experience, and are proficient in RF design and environmental testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Aerospace Engineering with 5+ years in aerospace or defense electronics.
• Experience with FTS or safety-critical systems for rockets.
• Strong knowledge of RF systems and high-reliability circuit design.
• Familiarity with NASA, MIL-STD, FAA range safety and FTS requirements.

Responsibilities

• FTS Design Review & Certification.
• Review, test, and certify FTS hardware and electronics against regulatory and mission requirements.
• Ensure the safety, reliability, and compliance of launch vehicle operations.
• Perform and evaluate environmental testing (thermal, vibration, EMI/EMC) on safety-critical hardware.
