Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC in Redmond, WA is seeking a Software Engineer to develop flight software for RTOS and bare-metal environments and to build supporting test and simulation tools.

You will collaborate with software, hardware, and systems engineers to deploy high-speed optical communications in orbit, participate in the full software life cycle, and help design reliable systems for scale.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) experience.
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Responsibilities

• Develop highly reliable flight software for RTOS or bare-metal environments.
• Develop testing, validation, and simulation software infrastructure.
• Participate in full software life-cycle from requirements to deployment in orbit.
• Collaborate with software, hardware and systems engineers for high speed optical communications.
