Job summary

Northrop Grumman’s Receiving Inspection team in Promontory, UT seeks a Flight Inspector—Level 3 or 4, onsite only. You will perform automated and manual inspection tasks, review supplier data, and ensure conformance of parts to drawings using Smart Scope, Optical Comparator, and Keyence.

The role requires experience with inspection standards, GD&T, and ISO/AS9100, plus the ability to work 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off. Join us on-site for a hands-on quality focus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with related inspection experience.
• Must obtain/maintain U.S. Government Secret security clearance.
• Experience with ISO 9000/AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
• Proficient with GD&T and standard measuring instruments.
• Ability to operate Smart Scope, Optical Comparator, and Keyence.
• Able to work shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
• Strong computer skills: MS Office, Costpoint, QMIS, EPLM, Nautilus, SAP.
• Forklift operation capability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of quality inspection tasks independently.
• Review certification and data packages from suppliers and vendors.
• Perform inspections per procedures and planning documentation.
• Conduct visual, in-process and final dimensional inspections on parts and assemblies.
• Utilize measurement tools including Smart Scope, Optical Comparator, and Keyence.
• Document defects and enter conditions into quality management systems.
• Adhere to safety and PPE requirements and company policies.
• Other duties as assigned.
