Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. in Redondo Beach, CA is seeking a Flight Inspector at Level 2 or Level 3 to join our Space Systems team. The role is 100% onsite with a 9/80 schedule and every other Friday off.

The candidate will perform inspections, read blueprints with GD&T, and coordinate with manufacturing, engineering and customers to ensure compliance. The ideal candidate will have experience with inspection equipment (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, optical comparators), and be able to

Qualifications

Reads blueprints and technical documents to determine inspection requirements.
Operates inspection equipment and records data to support quality goals.
Experience with composite/fabricated assemblies and GD&T preferred.

Responsibilities

Performs analysis and tests of raw materials, packaging materials, and/or finished products to ensure quality and regulatory compliance.
Conducts 1st article, in-process, and final inspections on machined or composite parts.
Reviews production records for conformance and investigates discrepancies.
Maintains measurement equipment calibration and supports non-conformance investigations.
Interacts with manufacturing, engineering, and external customers to verify requirements.
