Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems in Sterling, VA seeks a Flight Inspector 2 or 3 to join our Receiving Inspection Team. You will inspect flight-critical hardware, verify conformance, and document results in TIPQA and Costpoint.

This role requires AS9100 or SQAR familiarity and a disciplined approach to quality. Candidates should have a high school diploma with 2 years of related experience, and be prepared to collaborate with Procurement, Supplier Quality, and Production to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• Experience with AS9100 or SQAR environments and QMS documentation.
• Ability to make pass/fail decisions and maintain records.
• Familiarity with inspection in government/defense contexts.

Responsibilities

• Perform receiving inspection on flight-critical hardware and components.
• Validate documentation including conformance certificates and data.
• Initiate and manage inspection records in TIPQA; verify routing in Costpoint.
• Initiate nonconformance reports and support MRB documentation.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Supplier Quality, and Production to resolve issues.
• Apply visual, dimensional inspections and enforce holds on nonconforming material.
• Support RCCA reviews and document findings.
