Job summary

Embraer in Melbourne, FL is seeking a skilled technician for a 2nd shift role performing production assembly and flight preparation tasks. The position involves process analysis, guiding technical support groups, and assisting new operators while ensuring compliance with FAA and OEM procedures.

Qualifications include a High School diploma or GED, plus 2–5 years in aircraft assembly or related fields. A&P and mechanical or electrical experience are a plus; Structures experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies per diagrams and specs.
• Use hand and power tools, ground support equipment, servicing carts and related aircraft systems.
• Perform operator verifications and inspections in flight or production lines per quality specs.
• Disassemble/modify/rework/ reassemble and test experimental or prototype assemblies as required.
• Follow FAA-approved procedures and OEM data for assembly work.
• Position subassemblies in jigs using measuring instruments and blueprint references.
• Inspect finished work to ensure compliance and identify rework needs.
• Complete work package documentation per FAA and repair station manuals.
• Submit completed work to Quality Assurance for airworthiness certification.
