Job summary

Air Methods CBS is seeking an experienced Paramedic to deliver high-quality pre-hospital advanced life support for critical patients in busy 911 environments and aviation transport. You will operate within state-defined scopes, maintain equipment and documentation, and participate in ongoing education and safety practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and at least three years’ related experience in a busy 911 system.
• Bachelor’s degree in health-related field preferred.
• Current EMT-P license in state(s) served with required certifications (BLS/CPR; ACLS; PALS) and specialty ITLS or PHTLS where required.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-hospital advanced life support care from initial contact until patient care transfer to the accepting medical facility; maintain thorough patient care documentation.
• Practice within defined scope of practice as established by state regulations and Air Methods CBS; maintain competency through ongoing training and education.
• Attend pre-mission briefings and mission debriefings; assist with liftoff checklists and communications with pilot as requested; ensure safety of self, crew, patient, and equipment.
• Report medical equipment status; maintain adequate onboard supplies; keep aircraft clean and ready for rapid response.
• Engage in patient follow-up and outreach activities; participate in education and departmental projects as needed.
