Job summary

Med-Trans Corporation in Lubbock, TX is hiring a Flight Paramedic to join our air transportation team. You will transport patients to and from medical facilities and perform scene call work, delivering high-quality, safe patient care with a professional crew.

The role requires EMT-P licensure, ALS certifications, and at least 3 years of 911 or critical care experience; FP-C within 24 months is preferred. We offer a competitive hourly range, area stipend, and company-paid housing on shift.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a 911 or critical care setting required.
• Current EMT-P license/certification in the states served by the assigned area required; BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP required.
• Flight Paramedic-Certified (FP-C) required within 24 months from date of hire; instructor certs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete and submit electronic patient care records for each dispatched flight.
• Perform daily base checks including narcotic count.
• Provide pre-hospital and intra-hospital ALS care from first contact to handoff.
• Maintain competency through ongoing training and practice.
• Document licensure, certifications, CE, safety, and procedures in Education Manual.
• Maintain knowledge of equipment and supplies used by EMS.
• Build positive relationships with colleagues, EMS, hospitals, and public.
• Perform as a medical flight team member; attend briefs and debriefs.
• Assist in liftoff checklist and pilot-related tasks when needed.
• Comply with safety standards to ensure crew and patient safety.

Education

EMT-P license/certification (states served)

BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications

FP-C certification within 24 months

Instructor certifications in BLS/ACLS/PALS/PEPP/ITLS/PHTLS

NREMT-P certification may be required
