Job summary

Eastern Airlines Flight Follower role located in Greensboro, NC, US, supports the Director of Operations from the SOC center to ensure flights are planned, released, monitored, and concluded safely and efficiently. You will communicate with crewmembers, maintenance control, and ground ops while managing weather, routing, and irregular operations to safeguard operations.

The position requires English language fluency, a valid Dispatcher/Airman's/ATP certificate, and completion of the Company

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, speak, write, and understand the English language.
• Possess a valid Dispatcher, Airman's, or ATP Certificate.
• Successful completion of the Company Flight Follower Training Program.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Operations in exercising operational control to ensure safe, efficient flight planning, release, monitoring and conclusion.
• Maintain continuous communication with Flight Crewmembers, Maintenance Control, Ground Operations and other departments.
• Coordinate with Maintenance Control to ensure scheduled and unscheduled maintenance is completed.
• Monitor flights, record departure and arrival times, and keep the Flight Following system current.
• Coordinate passenger accommodations for regular and irregular operations.
• Initiate emergency procedures and notifications when necessary.
• Exercise operational control functions when delegated by the DO.
• Ensure end-of-shift turnovers are completed.
