Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems in Gilbert, AZ is seeking a Flight Inspector at Level 2 or Level 3 to join the Receiving Inspection Team. The role ensures incoming mechanical components and assemblies meet contractual, configuration, and documentation requirements before production acceptance.

You will perform visual and dimensional inspections, verify specifications against drawings and POs, and collaborate with Procurement and Quality teams to resolve nonconformances.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with related inspection experience.
• Experience inspecting for identity and dimensional conformance.
• Familiarity with AS9100 or equivalent QMS requirements.
• Ability to document inspection results and pass/fail decisions.

Responsibilities

• Inspect parts and materials for conformity to standards and processing requirements.
• Verify specifications using PO, blueprints, drawings, and checklists; record results.
• Create and update inspection records in TIPQA and Costpoint systems.
• Initiate Nonconformance Reports and support MRB documentation.
• Apply visual, dimensional, and documentation-based inspection techniques.
• Assist root cause and corrective action reviews as needed.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Supplier Quality, and Production teams to resolve issues.
