Job summary

NorthropGrumman Space Systems in Gilbert, AZ seeks a Flight Inspector2 or Flight Inspector3 to join the Receiving Inspection Team, ensuring incoming material meets contractual, configuration, and documentation requirements before acceptance into production.

The role involves inspecting mechanical components, COTS materials, RTVs, and solvents, using gauges, microscopes, optical comparators, and other inspection tools. A background in AS9100 quality systems and NCR/MRB processes is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent, plus required related experience.
• Experience inspecting for identity, dimensional conformance and quality.
• Familiarity with documentation like orders, blueprints and checklists.
• Knowledge of AS9100 or equivalent QMS is preferred.
• Experience initiating NCRs and supporting MRB processes.

Responsibilities

• Inspect purchased parts and materials for conformity to standards and drawings.
• Use inspection equipment (micrometers, optical comparators) to verify dimensions.
• Make pass/fail decisions and maintain inspection records.
• Initiate and document NCRs and support MRB activities.
• Follow Quality Specification Instructions and program requirements.
