Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems in Plymouth, MN is seeking an experienced Receiving Inspector to verify incoming goods and services against inspection plans and standards. The role covers first article, lot acceptance, and special requests, contributing to a robust QMS.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, associated technical degree, certification or diploma.
• 2 years of dimensional inspection experience in aerospace industry or similar highly regulated environment.
• Knowledge of AS9100.
• Experience reading blueprints.
• Basic GD&T skills.
• Dimensional inspection experience utilizing micrometers, calipers, height gages, dial indicators, etc.
• Familiar with sampling plans.

Responsibilities

• Inspection of received goods and services
• Special/Prototype inspections
• Review of supplier test data and certification packages
• Conduct internal audits
• Maintain lab practices/operations in compliance with standards & certifications
• Issue and follow up on discrepancy reports
• Support QMS audits and corrective actions
