Job summary

Aerostar is offering a summer internship focused on field operations and support in Sioux Falls. You will analyze surface weather and wind predictions, coordinate with FAA Part 101 compliance, and monitor balloon platform health as part of engineering test support.

The role includes presenting a summer-end internship summary and demonstrating Aerostar's guiding principles while collaborating with team members and leadership. Some travel up to 40% may be required.

Qualifications

• College student or recent graduate in a STEM field.
• Prior aviation and/or military experience preferred.
• Travel may be required up to 40%.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and maintain confidentiality.
• Proficient with computers, including Microsoft Office.

• Coordinate with FAA Understand FAA Regulation Part 101 for Unmanned Free Balloons Monitor platform health, analyze data, and troubleshoot problems.
• Provide support for engineering tests.
• Complete summer end internship presentation.
• Demonstrated the guiding principles of Aerostar.

Education and Experience:
