Job summary

GE Aerospace seeks a Flight Deck Specialist to deploy the FLIGHT DECK lean operating model, coaching teams and optimizing processes to meet SQDC priorities. The role involves guiding Operations through the FLIGHT DECK journey with teaching and coaching of lean principles, driving ownership across teams, and up to 20% travel.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree (or 4+ years in manufacturing with HS diploma) and at least 3 years in manufacturing, operations, or training.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or (high school diploma with 4+ years of manufacturing experience) is required.
  • At least 3 years of experience in Manufacturing, Operations, and/or Training.

Responsibilities

  • Coach and deploy FLIGHT DECK fundamentals across the shop floor to optimize performance.
  • Identify and eliminate waste using lean tools and structured problem-solving.
  • Implement visual management systems to track SQDC metrics and enable real-time decision-making.
  • Mentor and develop shop floor teams, fostering transparency and constructive development.
  • Ensure processes align with customer needs, delivering quality on time while reducing costs.
  • Drive discipline to sustain improvements and long-term operational success.
