Job summary

RTX's Collins Aerospace Flight Controls team in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking an early career Software Engineer to contribute to real-time embedded flight control systems for business, regional, military, and air-transport platforms.

You will define software requirements, implement algorithms in C/C++, perform tests, and support DO-178B/C certification activities in a collaborative, safety-critical environment.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
• Experience developing in modern programming languages (e.g. C++; C).
• Experience with object oriented design

Responsibilities

• Define and review software requirements, including interface requirements
• Implement control and signal processing algorithms via hand-code and integration of auto-generated code from MATLAB Simulink / Stateflow models into application software
• Conducting requirements-based testing of software
• Supporting DO-178B/C compliant software certification activities
