Job summary

Inovar Packaging Group is seeking an experienced press operator to manage setup, operation, and maintenance of a narrow-web flexographic press for high-quality labels and packaging. You will ensure accurate color, precise registration, and adherence to customer specs and production schedules.

Ideal candidates have flexographic press experience (preferably Mark Andy 2200), strong mechanical troubleshooting skills, and the ability to read job tickets and proofs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior flexographic press experience preferred (Mark Andy 2200 or similar).
• Ability to read and interpret job tickets, proofs, specs, measurements and production records.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for each job by reviewing tickets, artwork, proofs, press instructions, materials and customer specs.
• Set up tooling: mount plates; install dies, cylinders, ink systems; stage and manage inks.
• Load and thread substrates through the press with care; control registration, impression, web tension, color, viscosity and drying/curing.
• Perform in-process quality checks for color, copy, barcodes, defects and die-cut accuracy.
• Diagnose and resolve issues such as color Variations, ink buildup, web breaks and registration problems.
• Minimize waste and downtime while meeting production goals; log production metrics and downtime.
• Follow safety procedures and SOPs; collaborate with production teams and mentor helpers.
