Inovar Packaging Group is seeking a dedicated press operator to run the Mark Andy 2200 on nights/weekends, ensuring precise setups, color accuracy, and consistent quality. You will study tickets, mount plates, thread stock, and monitor print quality while collaborating with Quality, Maintenance, and Prepress teams.

The role requires reading specs, strong troubleshooting, and a detail‑oriented mindset. Overtime may be required to meet production needs; a safety‑driven culture is emphasized.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience on a Mark Andy 2200 or similar narrow‑web flexo platform preferred.
• Know‑how with plates, anilox rolls, inks, dies, substrates, web control, registration, and color.
• Comfort reading job tickets, proofs, specs, measurements, and production documentation.
• Mechanical aptitude and strong troubleshooting skills.
• Sharp color vision and the ability to catch subtle print defects.
• Detail‑oriented, quality‑focused, independent yet team‑minded.
• Willing to work overtime or flexible hours when production calls.

Responsibilities

• Own setup, operation, and upkeep of a Mark Andy 2200 narrow‑web flexographic press.
• Study tickets, proofs, press instructions, materials, and customer specs before you start.
• Mount plates, dies, cylinders, anilox rolls; set doctor blades; stage inks and tooling.
• Load/thread paper, film, and pressure‑sensitive label stock.
• Control registration, impression, web tension, color, viscosity, and drying/curing.
• Match color to proofs and hold consistent print quality throughout the run.
• Inspect in process: color, registration, copy, barcodes, defects, and die‑cut accuracy.
• Troubleshoot issues (dirty print, pinholing, plate bounce, registration variation, ink buildup, web breaks, color drift).
• Confirm finished product meets customer requirements and quality standards.
• Reduce waste, setup time, and downtime; meet output and efficiency goals.
• Record production, material usage, waste, quality checks, and downtime accurately.
• Perform routine cleaning, preventative maintenance, and minor mechanical adjustments.
• Keep the area organized and safe; follow safety procedures, SOPs, and quality systems.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, Prepress, Ink, Maintenance, and Finishing.
• Support and train Press Helpers; handle additional production tasks as assigned.

• Comfort working around moving machinery, inks, solvents, and noise in a manufacturing setting.
• Use required PPE.

Schedule

• Fri–Sat 4:00am–5:30pm; Sun 4:00am–2:30pm (weekend shift)
• Overtime may be required based on business and production needs.
