About the Opportunity

Job Title: Flexographic Press Operator 2
Pay Rate Range: $25.00-$28.00/Hour
Location: Oakdale, MN
Schedule: Night Shift, Monday‑Sunday 6PM–6AM, 12‑hour Rotating Shift
Week 1: Sunday, Monday, Thursday, Friday
Week 2: Saturday, Tuesday, Wednesday
Position Type: Temp to Hire

Requirements and Qualifications

• Requires thorough knowledge of Flexographic printing procedures, materials and specifications, equipment, and safety requirements, and skills to perform assignments.
• Skill to read and understand job specifications and knowledge of press capabilities to determine the most appropriate press usage, press settings, and materials needed.
• Skill to create a variety of difficult precise web paths and adjustments, and to perform routine operational maintenance of equipment.
• Skill in routine operational maintenance and minor repairs to equipment.
• Knowledge of basic computer skills, Excel, Word and Google (preferred).
• Skill in use of Mark Andy, Aquaflex, Comco, Webtron, Gallus, and Nil Peter (preferred).

Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible to set up, adjust, operate, and maintain multiple press equipment.
• Perform all make‑ready tasks: mounting plates or installing print cylinders, examine plates/cylinders for imperfections, check correct positioning of images, prep web paths, adjust tension and register, etc.
• Make necessary color correction and anilox adjustment and/or press adjustments prior to production run to meet quality specifications.
• Clean, lubricate, and maintain the press, making minor repairs and replacing worn or broken parts as required.
• Perform periodic maintenance recommended by the manufacturer.
