About the Opportunity

Job Title: Flexographic Press Operator 2
Pay Rate Range: $25.00-$28.00/Hour
Location: Oakdale, MN
Schedule: Day Shift, Monday‑Sunday 6AM‑6PM, 12‑hour rotating shift

• Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday
• Week 2: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday

Requirements and Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of Flexographic printing procedures, materials, and specifications, equipment, and safety requirements and skills to perform assignments.
• Skill to read and understand job specifications and knowledge of press capabilities to determine the most appropriate press usage, press settings and materials needed to run the job successfully.
• Skill to make a variety of difficult precise web paths, adjustments, and to perform routine operational maintenance of equipment.
• Skill in routine operational maintenance and minor repairs to equipment.
• Knowledge of basic computer skills, Excel, Word, and Google, preferred.
• Skill in use of Mark Andy, Aquaflex, Comco, Webtron, Gallus, and Nil Peter, preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for setting up, adjusting, operating, and maintaining a number of press equipment.
• Perform all make‑ready tasks associated with the Flexographic press operated such as mounting plates or installing print cylinders, examining plates/cylinders for imperfections and checking correct positioning of images, prepping web paths, adjusting tension and register, etc.
• Make necessary color correction and anilox adjustment and/or press adjustments prior to production run to meet and maintain the quality specifications of the work.
• Clean, lubricate, and maintain the press, making minor repairs and replacing worn or broken parts as required.
• Perform periodic maintenance recommended by the manufacturer.
