The Flexo Press Operator performs manual and machine operator tasks related to the set-up, maintenance, and operation of the press. Responsible for quantitative and qualitative press performance.

Essential Duties Include

1. Operate flexographic pressroom equipment such as Arsoma, Mark Andy, Comco, Waitron, Gallus, Delta presses, sheeters, stackers, fan folding equipment, infrared heating equipment, turret, IMASS peel grain testers, digital scope, densitometer, gloss meter, UV equipment, etc.
2. Read, review, and understand job specifications from tickets, QMS documents, customer sheets, and proofs to set up and run equipment.
3. Ensure all materials and components (stock, dies, print cylinders, inks, etc.) are available at the press.
4. Research and verify stock, materials, and jobs via Primac and/or PC networks.
5. Complete makeready and install auxiliary equipment to meet job specifications.
6. Select and mix inks as specified, monitor ink and varnish usage.

Some Key Must-haves Are

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. At least 2 years of recent experience as a flexographic press operator in a high-quality, commercial printing environment.
3. Ability to read, write legibly, and follow verbal and written instructions.
