This position is for a Press Operator 2.

Shift Details: The role will start on 1st shift (6am - 2pm) and transition to a 12-hour rotating Day shift (Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday; Week 2: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday).

Compensation: Inexperienced candidates start at $25.49/hr. Experienced candidates may be eligible for a higher pay rate.

Responsibilities:

1. Set up, adjust, operate, and maintain press equipment.
2. Perform make-ready tasks such as hanging plates, installing cylinders, examining plates/cylinders for imperfections, and checking for correct image positioning.
3. Make color corrections and press adjustments to meet quality standards.
4. Clean, lubricate, and maintain the press, including minor repairs and part replacements.
5. Perform periodic maintenance as recommended by the manufacturer.

Qualifications:

1. Thorough knowledge of offset printing procedures, materials, equipment, and safety requirements.
2. Ability to read and understand job specifications and determine appropriate press settings and materials.
3. Skill in making precise control settings and performing routine maintenance.
4. Knowledge of proper packing pressure for printing quality.
5. Skill in using micrometers for mounting and aligning printing plates.
