Press Operator 1 - Flexographic Press - 12-hr Rotating Night Shift

This position is for a 12-hour rotating night shift (Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday; Week 2: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday). The individual will start on 2nd or 3rd shift and transition to the 12-hour rotating shift as the plant transitions to the new shift in Q1. The 2nd shift offers a $2/hr shift differential, the 3rd shift offers a $3/hr differential, and the night shift is eligible for a $3/hr shift differential.

Responsibilities:

• Set up, adjust, operate, and maintain single or multi-color Flexographic press.
• Perform all make-ready tasks such as hanging plates, installing cylinders, examining plates/cylinders for imperfections, checking image positioning, prepping blankets, and adjusting tension and register.
• Make color corrections and press adjustments to meet quality standards prior to production.
• Clean, lubricate, and maintain the press; perform minor repairs and replace worn parts as needed.
• Perform periodic maintenance as recommended by the manufacturer.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of offset printing procedures, materials, equipment, and safety requirements.
• Ability to read and understand job specifications and determine necessary materials.
• Sufficient knowledge of press capabilities for efficient operation and adjustments.
• Understanding of packing pressure for proper printing results.
• Skill in using a micrometer for mounting and aligning printing plates.
• Ability to perform routine maintenance and minor repairs.
• Ability to adjust feeders, guides, and timing for optimal operation.

The pay range for this role at the location is $22.89 to $37.13 per hour, with actual pay based on education, skills, experience, performance, shift, and location.
