Job summary

Remedy Education is seeking a Supply Teaching Assistant to support pupils across Brentwood and Essex. The role offers flexible days, with 1:1 or small group support and the chance to gain experience across primary, secondary and early years settings.

You’ll work with teachers to deliver lessons, manage classrooms, and support students with diverse needs. This entry point role provides regular activity and potential long-term opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people (school-based experience ideal).
• Background in childcare, tutoring, youth work, coaching or SEN support welcome.
• Friendly, adaptable and confident personality.
• Comfortable working in new and varied school environments.
• Passion for supporting young people to succeed.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils 1:1 or in small groups.
• Assisting teachers with lesson delivery and classroom management.
• Bringing calm, structure and positivity into busy classrooms.
• Supporting pupils with additional needs where required.
• Helping ensure learning runs smoothly throughout the day.
