Job summary

KIPP Colorado is seeking a Permanent Substitute to substitute for teachers across Denver-area campuses. The role includes classroom management, delivering lessons using provided plans, and supporting school operations during duties such as lunch and dismissal.

Travel between campuses around Denver is expected. The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree OR a High School Diploma with a Substitute Authorization, plus at least 1 year of substitute or teaching experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree OR High School Diploma with 1 Year Substitute Authorization (required)
• At least 1 year substitute/teaching experience preferred
• Commitment to KIPP Colorado mission and RIDE commitments
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Willingness to travel around Denver to multiple campuses and events

Responsibilities

• Substitute as needed by daily building needs
• Deliver daily lesson plans using provided materials
• Provide active supervision to ensure student safety and engagement
• Maintain relationships with students and families based on trust
• Support school operations during duties (lunch, arrival/dismissal)
