Job summary

Denver Public Schools is seeking a Daily Guest Teacher (substitute teacher) to fill in for regular teachers, follow lesson plans, and maintain an orderly, productive learning environment.

The role requires one of several Colorado teaching credentials or a substitute authorization, and a Bachelor's degree in Education or related field is preferred. The position entails a minimum monthly assignment commitment and contributes to DPS's equity-focused culture.

Qualifications

• One of the following licenses: Colorado Department of Education license, CDE license application receipt (90 days), Substitute Authorization (1/3/5 year), Initial or Professional Teaching License.
• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Organize students for instruction and maintain classroom control.
• Motivate learning and ensure academic time is used effectively.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the school Principal.
