Job summary

KIPP Colorado Public Schools is seeking a Permanent Substitute to cover classrooms when teachers are absent across the Denver region. The role may also support lunch, hall, arrival and dismissal duties, and will focus on maintaining learning and positive culture.

Unlike a Lead Teacher, the permanent substitute focuses on the learning environment with flexible assignments, changing daily across different classrooms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• 1 year substitute authorization or licensure preferred.
• Commitment to KIPP's mission and equity commitments.

Responsibilities

• Substitute in classrooms as needed across the region.
• Provide coverage during lunch, hall, arrival and dismissal duties.
• Support with maintaining student safety and a positive classroom culture.
• Travel around Denver to other KIPP campuses or events as needed.
• Collaborate with school teams and engage in ongoing professional development.
