Job summary

Project HOME seeks a Substitute Support Staff member to cover for regular staff across multiple sites, ensuring safety and smooth daily operations. Responsibilities include site safety, resident engagement, and coordinating with on-call staff.

You will assist with administrative duties, meals in sites with service, and medication monitoring where applicable, while maintaining respectful interactions with residents and visitors.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma required.
• Experience working in behavioral health and/or homelessness.
• Basic computer/technology literacy.
• Knowledge of crisis intervention and de‑escalation.
• Good communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills to work with all staff and residents.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Site Health & Safety: control access, log visitors, log deliveries, and document rounds.
• Address urgent and crisis situations and follow emergency procedures.
• Manage residents at sites with on-call support as needed.
• Communicate with on-call staff during shift transitions and document shift summaries.
