Job summary

Sorenson Communications is expanding its Video Relay Service (VRS) interpreting team in the US and Canada. We are hiring full- and part-time interpreters to provide Sign-to-Voice and Voice-to-Sign interpretation across shifting schedules.

Successful candidates will pass a skills assessment, have a high school diploma or GED, and may hold an associate’s or bachelor’s degree. Interpreter certification may be required by local regulations, with opportunities for certification and licensure support.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• An associate’s or bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required.
• Interpreter certification may be required by local regulations.
• 3 years’ experience as an interpreter is preferred but not required.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic technical issues.

Responsibilities

• Interpret between American Sign Language (ASL) and spoken English.
• Adhere to licensure/certification requirements per jurisdiction.
• Comply with Sorenson standards, FCC regulations and RID Code of Conduct.
• Maintain attendance and comply with company policies.
• Complete tasks promptly within guidelines and adapt to changing technologies.
