Job summary

Intersect Healthcare, Inc. in Michigan seeks a Food and Nutrition Aide / Cook to support the department by preparing and serving meals for patients and residents, ensuring adherence to menus, therapeutic diets, and safety standards.

Shifts are 4pm-8pm every other weekend with flex shifts; the role reports to the Dietary Manager and contributes to daily operations, inventory, and quality service in a patient-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of six months paid quantity food preparation and working with recipes for 25-50 servings.
• Formal or on-the-job training in quantity food preparation, estimating quantities, storing supplies, sanitation and safety.
• Knowledge of therapeutic diets is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve various food items according to menus and diets.
• Report exposures to blood, body fluids, and hazardous materials.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and quality standards.
