Job summary

Intersect Healthcare, Inc. is seeking a part-time Cook to prepare and serve meals for patients and residents in compliance with federal, state, and local guidelines, policies, and the Dietary Manager’s directions.

The role emphasizes nutrition, quality, sanitation, and safety while delivering excellent food service to patients, residents, and staff. The position requires preparing meals according to planned menus and therapeutic diets as needed, with a split shift from 11:30 a.m.

Qualifications

• Six months paid quantity food preparation experience with recipes serving 25–50 portions.
• Formal or on‑the‑job training in quantity food preparation, estimating quantities, storing supplies, sanitation and safety.
• Knowledge of therapeutic diets preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve various food items.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and department policies.
• Follow menus and prepare meals per planned menus, ensuring proper times and temperatures.
• Maintain sanitary, safe, and clean kitchen and work areas.
• Assist in inventorying and stocking food and supplies.
• Report accidents and incidents as required and participate in meetings.
