Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates.

• Gain knowledge of products and be able to respond to questions and suggest items.
• Recommend grocery items to customers and inform them of specials.
• Check product quality and freshness; review sell-by dates and take action.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise; provide customers with fresh products they ordered.
• Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Stay current with ads and promotions; adhere to safety regulations.
• Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers; maintain temperature logs.
• Report safety risks and incidents; participate in preventive maintenance and repairs.
