Job summary

The Kroger Co. is seeking a Grocery Clerk to deliver outstanding customer service and maintain a safe, clean environment. You will assist the department manager in reaching sales goals, stock shelves, answer questions, and help customers locate items throughout the store.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction) required.

Responsibilities

• Help customers discover new items or products they inquire about.
• Inform customers of food specials and recommend grocery items to customers to ensure they get the products they want and need.
• Check product quality to ensure freshness and review sell by dates.
• Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
• Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Maintain temperature logs and ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers are maintained.
