Kroger is seeking a friendly, customer-focused cashier/checker to greet customers, process transactions, and maintain a safe, clean store environment at our Issaquah location. You will handle diverse tenders, operate the POS system, and uphold policy on restricted items while helping customers find products and answers.

The role emphasizes accuracy, integrity, and teamwork in a high-volume setting, with opportunities for growth within the Kroger family of companies.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction).
• Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and greet/assist customers.
• Accurate cash handling and POS operation.

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers in the checkout area.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately and efficiently.
• Operate POS system and handle cash, checks, credit/debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons and loyalty offers as per policy.
• Adhere to cash handling limits and prevent loss.
• Follow policies for restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs) and report pricing discrepancies.
• Stay current with ads and promotions; provide product information to customers.
• Comply with food safety regulations and safety procedures.
• Maintain clean, safe environment and professional conduct.
