Job summary

AmeriCorps in Caldwell, Idaho is seeking a part-time 4-H Youth Instructor to plan and deliver STEAM and healthy living programs for diverse youth audiences. The role focuses on hands-on learning, mentoring, and expanding community partnerships.

You will coordinate activities across afterschool programs, workshops, and events, while training and supporting teen volunteers to foster leadership and growth in youth. This position places a strong emphasis on safe, engaging non-formal education.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required.
• Experience working with youth or in education/mentoring is preferred.
• Ability to plan, implement, and evaluate youth programs across diverse settings.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver youth STEAM/healthy living programming in afterschool, community events, camps, clubs, and partnerships.
• Develop and maintain relationships with community partners, schools, and University of Idaho Extension faculty to expand reach.
• Support supervision and engagement of youth leaders and teen volunteers during activities and events.
• Collect data, report outcomes, and assist with volunteer recruitment and training.
