Job summary

AmeriCorps is seeking a part-time 4-H STEM AmeriCorps member to plan, implement, and evaluate youth programming in Sandpoint, Idaho, focusing on STEAM and healthy living. You will collaborate with schools, community partners, and University of Idaho Extension staff to expand outreach and impact.

Youth development and mentoring are key aspects, with opportunities to recruit and train teen volunteers in a supportive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Some college coursework completed.
• Ability to work part-time and assist with youth programming.
• English language proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and evaluate youth programming in STEAM and healthy living.
• Deliver engaging educational programs in afterschool, events, workshops, camps, clubs, and school partnerships.
• Develop relationships with community partners, schools, and University of Idaho Extension staff.
• Supervise and coordinate youth leaders and teen volunteers.
• Collect data and reporting requirements; support volunteer recruitment and training.
• Serve as a mentor and role model for youth.
