Job summary

AmeriCorps State/National program within Boise School District in Idaho seeks a 4-H Youth Instructor to deliver STEAM education and youth development across afterschool programs, camps, and community events. • High school diploma or GED is required.
• Commitment to AmeriCorps service.
• Ability to engage and support diverse youth.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate (plan, implement, and evaluate) youth programming in STEAM and healthy living for diverse and underserved audiences.
• Deliver engaging educational programs through afterschool programs, community events, workshops, camps, clubs, and school partnerships.
• Develop and maintain relationships with community partners, schools, and University of Idaho Extension staff to expand reach and impact.
• Assist with supervising and coordinating youth leaders and teen volunteers during activities and events.
• Collect data and complete reporting requirements; support volunteer recruitment, training, and engagement.
• Serve as a mentor and positive role model, fostering life skills, teamwork, and personal growth.
