Job summary

Stater Bros. Markets, Inc. is seeking a General Merchandise Clerk (GMC) to deliver G.O.A.T. service, manage front-end duties, and support multiple store departments.

The role covers bagging, cart retrieval, and assisting with checkout efficiency, while stocking shelves and fulfilling e-commerce orders. Floral, produce, and display upkeep are also included. The GMC will work across Grocery, Ecommerce, Produce, and Floral areas, adapting to store needs and maintaining a safe, welcoming shopping

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Friendly, helpful attitude focused on customer satisfaction.
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, helpful service while maintaining a professional demeanor and enhancing the customer’s shopping experience (G.O.A.T).
• Assist with customer questions, locating products, product recommendations, and communicating stock issues or customer concerns to store management.
• Bag groceries carefully and efficiently, separating items properly; assist customers with loading groceries to their vehicles.
• Open boxes to stock, refill shelves, displays, and end caps with general merchandise items.
• Stock and rotate merchandise and maintain backroom and displays per planograms; handle price changes and signage.
• Operate standard store equipment safely and work collaboratively with team members for smooth operations.
