Job summary

Stater Bros. Markets, Inc. is seeking a General Merchandise Clerk (GMC) to provide G.O.A.T. service to customers.

You will handle front-end tasks, stock shelves, fulfill ecommerce orders, and support floral and produce areas as needed. This role requires versatility to assist across multiple store departments. Responsibilities include greeting customers, answering questions, bagging groceries, and maintaining neat displays.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Friendly, helpful attitude with a focus on customer satisfaction.
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel for up to four to eight hours per day and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Must adhere to the collective bargaining agreement.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, helpful service while maintaining a professional demeanor.
• Assist customers with questions, locating products, and addressing out-of-stock issues.
• Bag groceries carefully and assist with loading groceries to vehicles.
• Gather shopping carts and maintain organized store entrances.
• Stock shelves, build displays, and follow planograms.
• Process ecommerce orders and ensure proper packing and labeling.
• Produce and floral duties including sorting, pricing, and presentation.
• Operate store equipment safely and collaborate with team members.
