Job summary

Mad Science is seeking a part-time instructor to run after-school science enrichment sessions. You will lead a one-hour weekly class using a preset curriculum, with sessions running for 8-10 weeks and occasional daytime programs as needed.

You will train with materials provided, and we schedule around your availability after 2 p.m. A fingerprint background check is required for all staff, and some college experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience with groups of elementary-age children (4-12) preferred.
• Available at least two weekdays after 2 p.m.
• Must have reliable transportation (not public or ride-share).
• Fingerprinting for background checks is required for all employees.
• Some college.
• Have a fun & outgoing personality.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate a one-hour after-school science enrichment program using a pre-set curriculum.
• Each session is a high-energy, part entertainment, part education, hands-on class that meets for one hour each week for 8-10 weeks.
• Enjoy teaching young children the art of science!
• Occasional daytime programming if your availability allows
